PlayerUnknown's BattleGrounds Review Xbox One Edition
Short Description
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds is one best battle royale games I have ever played. There are many problems with the game but the game is still an early access so I'm not going to be too harsh on it. Instead, I will be telling what I expect in the future in future updates or more like what I want in future updates. First, when I play this game it kind of reminds of the Hunger Games for some reason, I guess it's because of the battle royale part, scavenging for weapons, and the circle zones.
You and 99 other players are on a plane to drop down, go anywhere on a giant open world map scavenge for weapons and supplies, and to be the last man or team standing. Which may sound simple and basic but it's fun and addicting.
Playerunknown's Battlegrounds - The Good Parts
The game has one map so far that's somewhere in Russia with tons of landscape and towns to explore but there is a white circle and a blue circle, the white circle is the safe zone to be in and the blue circle is the zone that closes in every few minutes until there is no circle, and if you're outside the blue circle then you will slowly start losing health until you die or until you get in safe zone.
Every round, no matter if you win or lose you get points based on what place you're in, how many kills you get and how much damage you did, then you use those points to buy crates which will have clothes you can put on your character.
I like how can have both third person and first person modes, I prefer third person mode because you can see everything around you a lot more and I like the first person because it's more accurate on aiming.
Pubg is one the most intense survival shooters I have ever played mostly because the noises sound pretty real and loud so it makes certain situations real and unexpected at times and it keeps you aware of what's around you and being very cautious. The game can get very unpredictable at times, mostly because of where you drop, you feel like you're safe when you're not, and the situations can make you paranoid that someone might kill you any second.
I will definitely tell that this game has some of the most cooperative players when doing a squad or a duo. In this game, it's all about survival and when you are in duo or squad the players are very helpful a lot of times and probably has the most amount of team effort multiplayer you can find in a multiplayer game. In a lot of other multiplayer games, players just run around the map and get as many kills as they can with no strategy or thought,
Playerunknown's Battlegrounds - The Bad Parts
This game has no tutorial so if you don't know how to play Pubg, you will either have to learn on your own or look it up online. When I first played it took me about 10 to 20 matches for me to understand most of the buttons.
There are a few problems I have with the crates, first is it's really hard to find rare clothing for your character, every time you purchase a crate the points of how much it cost doubles every time you get a crate until a full week has passed by and the crates can give you stuff you already have instead of getting something new every time.
Some of the other main problems I have with the game is the textures don't load in right away, the game crashes more than two or three times a day and sometimes at the worst times, graphics look like something off a PS2.
The Game has one mode, which its competitor (Fortnite Battle Royale) has around four or five modes. Its also has only one map so far but in the pc version, there is another map in the desert so I hope the game has new modes like the zombie mode and new maps.
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds Review - The Final Verdict
The game is pretty amazing but it's going to take a lot for it to be something great. In the future, I hope they fix the glitches, crashes, and texture problems and I also hope they add new modes, maps, and new customizations.
